How Level Ground uses evidence

Level Ground is a homeowner information publication focused on foundation questions in Wichita. Arthur Smelyansky is the named publisher. The publication does not provide inspections, engineering designs or construction services.

Sources and dates

Definitions and local findings link to their source publishers. We distinguish a measured value, an administrative record, a guideline and our own calculation. City estimates, a weather station and a regional building department can cover different geographies; their numbers should not be combined as though they describe the same population.

An updated date records an editorial check. It does not turn older data into a current observation. Our Wichita statistics hub keeps the 2020–2024 ACS period and 1991–2020 climate-normal period beside the relevant figures. Its seasonal total shows the inputs and arithmetic.

Authorship and expertise

The publisher byline identifies editorial responsibility. It does not assert an engineering license, trade credential or personal inspection of a property. Property-level decisions need the relevant qualified professional and responsible permitting authority.

A useful correction identifies the page, the precise statement and the source that supports a change. Source dates and limitations should be revised with the statement when needed.
